Zoom Webinar User Policy for Spark Learning Online Students

Thank you for choosing to participate in Zoom webinars hosted by Spark Learning Online for educational purposes. To ensure a positive and productive learning environment, please review and adhere to the following user policy. By accessing and participating in Spark Learning Online's Zoom webinars, you agree to comply with the terms outlined below:

1. User Conduct

1.1 Respectful Behaviour:

  • Treat instructors and fellow participants with respect and courtesy.

  • Avoid disruptive behaviour, including but not limited to, offensive language, harassment, or any form of discrimination.

1.2 Engagement:

  • Actively participate in activities, and exercises as directed by the instructor.

  • Use Q&A features responsibly.

 

2. Technical Requirements

2.1 Equipment:

  • Ensure that your computer or device meets the technical requirements for Spark Learning Online's Zoom webinars.

  • Have a reliable internet connection to minimize disruptions during the session.

2.2 Software Updates:

  • Keep the Zoom application up-to-date to benefit from the latest features and security patches.

 

3. Privacy and Security

3.1 Personal Information:

  • Avoid sharing personal contact information or sensitive details on any Q&A features.

  • Respect the privacy of the tutor by not recording or taking screenshots without permission.

3.2 Zoom Links:

  • Do not share Spark Learning Online's Zoom webinar links with individuals who are not registered participants.

 

 

4. Attendance and Punctuality

4.1 Timeliness:

  • Join the webinar on time to minimize disruptions for yourself and others.

 

5. Intellectual Property 

5.1 Materials:

  • Respect the intellectual property rights of instructors and fellow students.

  • Do not reproduce or distribute webinar materials without permission.

 

6. Technical Support

6.1 Issues:

  • Report technical issues promptly to the instructor. No help can be given with adjusting your PC settings.

 

7. Non-Refundable Fee and Recordings

7.1 Fee:

  • A non-refundable fee of £4 per webinar is applicable. Payment is processed through the Zoom platform's integrated PayPal system. Access to Spark Learning Online's webinars or recordings is not possible without prior registration and payment.

7.2 Recordings:

  • The instructor will endeavour to broadcast the lesson live at the advertised time. In the event that a webinar cannot be broadcast live, a recording will be made available to all registered and paid participants for seven days. The use and distribution of these recordings are subject to intellectual property and copyright regulations outlined in Section 5.

 

8. No Guarantee of Exam Success

8.1 Exam Success:

  • Participation in Spark Learning Online's Zoom webinars does not guarantee success in any associated exams or assessments. Success is contingent upon individual effort, preparation, and understanding of the material.

 

9. Learning Materials for Kent 11+

9.1 Tailored Content:

  • Learning materials provided in Spark Learning Online's webinars are tailored for pupils sitting the Kent 11+ in September 2024. These webinars may not be suitable for individuals taking the a different 11+ examination.

 

10. Webinar Safety and Security

10.1 Camera and Microphone Usage:

  • There is no need to use cameras or microphones during Spark Learning Online's webinars, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all students.

10.2 Limited Contact:

  • There is no direct contact between students or between students and tutors other than through the Q&A function.

 

11. Use of Contact Details

11.1 Purpose:

  • Your contact details are used by Zoom and Spark Learning Online only for the purposes of registration and follow-up information pertaining to the Kent 11+.

11.2 No Third-Party Use:

  • Your contact details will not be used by any other party for any reason.

 

12. Consequences for Non-Compliance

12.1 Violation Consequences:

  • Violation of this user policy may result in removal from Spark Learning Online's webinars and potential disciplinary actions.

 

13. Feedback and Suggestions

13.1 Feedback: - Provide constructive feedback to help improve the quality of Spark Learning Online's webinar experience.

14.1 Support: - Contact Spark Learning Online via our website for technical support or to address any concerns related to Spark Learning Online's webinars.
